Author Guidelines

Scientific articles must be original and unpublished or presented at public events whose proceedings have not been published, except for special editions. They will be submitted for prior review by the journal's coordination to verify compliance with formal submission requirements and, subsequently, to the Editorial Board, following the procedure established by the coordination of the Revista de Direito da Amazônia, which may or may not recommend their publication.

Submitted scientific articles may not be submitted simultaneously to other journals and/or periodicals, and must fit within any area of Law and/or be interdisciplinary, except for special editions. The prioritization in the choice of publication of submitted works will result from the judgment of opportunity of this Journal.

The submission or publication of scientific articles/works will not imply remuneration for their authors; therefore, by sending their works, authors retain the copyright of their articles without restrictions, but grant the Revista de Direito da Amazônia of the Escola Superior da Magistratura do Amazonas (ESMAM), without any cost, the exclusive rights of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) 4.0 International. There will also be no publication fee or any article processing charge.

The Revista de Direito da Amazônia reserves the right to accept or veto any original article received that is in disagreement with these guidelines, recommendations of the Editorial Body or reviewers, when necessary, as well as the right to propose eventual alterations. Once approved, they will be published at no cost to authors and/or readers.

Along with the work, the author must also provide a (current) telephone number and email address for potential contact. The names and addresses provided in this Journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication and will not, therefore, be made available for other purposes and/or to third parties.

In response to concerns regarding ethics, quality, and the seriousness of published works, the COPE guideline was adopted. The Editorial Board suggests that authors read it carefully before submitting the article for publication (http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines)  or (http://www.fisiocirurgiauerj.org/Comite_de_Etica_em_Public_COPE.pdf.)

Works involving results of research with human beings must be sent with the due authorization of the Research Ethics Committee, in accordance with current regulations.

Authors who use any type of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AI-GC) tools or Large Language Models (LLMs) in their manuscript must explicitly declare such use within the text of the article. The artificial intelligence mechanism (such as ChatGPT, Gemini) must be identified, specifying how the tool was used in the production of the article and what was created by it. It is emphasized that the use of these models must be part of the project design and/or as a formal research method, always with a review of the output by the authors. Furthermore, authors are responsible for errors, plagiarism, and other malpractices that may result from the mechanism's action. Finally, these tools must not be listed as co-authors of the manuscript. It is recommended to read Ordinance No. 2,664, of March 6, 2026, from CNPq for further information, available in: http://memoria2.cnpq.br/web/guest/view/-/journal_content/56_INSTANCE_0oED/10157/23142775

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check the submission's compliance regarding all items. Articles that are not in accordance with the norms will be returned to the authors for correction and subsequent resubmission within the established deadline of up to 14 (fourteen) calendar days, counting from the date of forwarding for correction, or on a date previously established in the case of special editions to be published.

The opinions contained in the scientific articles/works are the sole responsibility of the respective authors. In the event of errata and retractions, authors must contact the journal's editorial team for the appropriate procedures.

The originals of published works, as well as complementary information, including tables with statistical data, charts, images, and photos, will not be returned to the authors.

In cases not covered by the recommendations set forth in these guidelines and the evaluation process, an individual analysis of each situation will be conducted by the Editorial Team, which will provide the necessary guidance.
